Parks & Recreation

Hawkeye parks are a big attraction to the town. Some of our features include kids playground equipment, a walking trail through out the park and a beautiful peaceful campground right next to it. Other park amenities coming soon include a brand new pickle ball court being put in this spring of 2025.  Our baseball field will also take shape this spring with Josh Hanson spearheading the project which includes a new batting cage.

    Our park has 3 shelter house, all of which you can host a family get together or birthday party for the kids to play outdoors. The shelters include picnic tables and electricity is available. You can contact Wayne Schroeder at 319-240-2614 to reserve one.

    Once a year Hawkeye hosts a fun filled weekend we call Hawkeye Fun Days. There are things to do throughout the weekend at the park and uptown.
